Almost weekend again :)

Tomorrow, we have academic review day at school. My "appointment" is at 10:15, and after that me and Emily is going to Newport :)

Since I have to send things home before I leave in 5 weeks and 3 days, there is some christmas shopping that has to be done first. I don't really like christmas in the middle of November, but since it is already there, I can get it done...

For those of you who doesn't know it... I'm collecting stones, so if anyone sees an Australian black opal, I would be very happy to know where I could find one..

And also, I got my mechanics homework back today :D Since I started school here, I've failed maths and mechanics with less than 40% each time. But today I got 60%, which means a C... And I'm really happy about it, so I just had to write it somewhere :P

I am actually thinking about taking my year 13 here as well. Something my friends at home didn't think was a very good idea, since they want me back. I made miss Pratt happy though. She loves hearing that "her school" is better than others. But the biggest down-side I can think of is that I won't be able to graduate with my class at home. And for those who doesn't know it, it is a pretty big thing, because we get to be "russ", which seems pretty fun. If you want to know more about what it is, Wikipedia has a pretty good explanation... Finally 17 :D

Today I am finally 17 years old :D

The first thing I did today was opening my presents from home which came a few days ago..

I got a celtic cross and a postcard-calendar from my grandmother.

From my mom, I got a book (Lost in translation), and a necklace...

And the last present from Norway, I got from my aunt. And she sent me norwegian chocoloate :D

Later today I'm going out with my hostfamily... So there will be a small celebration :P

I don't really feel any older than I did yesterday, but maybe I look older... I don't know..

Emily's life :P

Emily is actually writing half of what the blog is about. She is usually correcting what I've written, but she also adds things, so if you read anything that doesn't sound like me, it's probably her work.. I just let her do it. It makes her happy... :D

Half term is coming up :D

In three days we go off on our half term :D Finally some time to relax. Even though I have some homework, I can still sleep.. :D
Apparently, Emily and her family have some plans for my birthday next week, which I am a little worried about. Because there was a lot of whispering going on at the dinner table yesterday. I've said I don't really want to celebrate it, but that message was ignored :P

And for those who dont know it yet. On the 21st December, I am going home, to Norway, to celebrate Christmas with my mum and my dog. it will be the first Christmas without my brother and father. Gonna be a little bit weird, but we'll manage...
And I have promised Emily to bring her some norwegian chocolate, but I'm not so sure it is a good idea really, considering how she becomes just by sniffing chocolate. But I might give it a try, just to see how she reacts to it XD
I am looking forward to seeing some of my friends again though. Since I went to a private school last year with a dormitory, my friends are spread over the whole country, but it's easy to visit the ones who lives near me. Although, I live on an island at home as well, I can't really get anywhere without going somewhere that i know.

Well, I still have about two months left before I go home. Until then, I'm gonna try to give my full attention to schoolwork. As if thats gonna happen, but I can try, can't I??

New world...

Ok, I haven't really made a blog before, so this can be interesting...
I am an exchange student from Norway, so I'm making this blog for my friends at home, and the people I meet in this country. I'm now living on a small Island called the Isle of Wight, in the south of England. I came to the island on the 24th August. And I'm finally starting to settle down.

When I first moved here, I moved into a house in Binstead with a single woman, and another EF student from Germany. It was really nice there, and I liked it. But you never know what is gonna happen. So tuesday 23rd september, we were home alone, and then a policeman came to our house and told us that our hostmum had died in a car accident that afternoon. So the day after we moved into a temporary family in East Cowes, who were very nice. My guestsister from Germany got a new family very soon, so she moved back to Binstead to live with them.

I stayed in Cowes for about 2 weeks. And now I've got a new family in Brighstone. This is with a friend of mine from school and her family. I know that i will stay here for the rest of the year, as my friend Emily has taken me hostage and thinks that she has adopted me.... poor girl.

And there's some crazy people I know at this school XD...
